Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be played in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at home on your PC, through a net account. The game rules are very simple and involve the player attempting to get the highest assemblage of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it is much the same as a normal game of poker, apart from the involvement with other players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the deal button. A hand of five cards will then be electronically ‘dealt’ on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.
After the enthusiast has selected which cards she wishes to retain, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards are handed out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Generally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that discerning players are agile enough to choose the most beneficial game each instance.
Once the first round has completed, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game give the bettor a chance to increase their profits, in which situation a further game is played. There are also differences among specific games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
